Facility

Sea Horse Stables – located in Southbury, Connecticut, at the Show Horses, Inc. facility, a 17-acre property in the Pomperaug River Valley – offers boarding, leasing, training, and horse show opportunities. 

Riders can realize their dreams and goals at Sea Horse Stables with horse-friendly stabling, various riding arenas, and a large professional staff. 

Stabling  

Stabling includes regular and oversized matted stalls, open-air stall windows, grass and all-weather paddocks, two heated wash stalls, five grooming stalls, a spacious tack room, dedicated supply and feed rooms, and tack trunk areas. 

The facility also offers heated viewing areas, a coffee/snack room with a refrigerator and microwave, an outdoor patio, a private bathroom, on-site laundry, and the business office.  

Riding

There are several riding arenas, including a spacious double-sized outdoor ring, a 16,000 square-foot indoor arena attached to the barn with natural lighting, a sizeable outdoor hunter/jumper mature grass field, and an additional riding area with views of the Pomeraug River. 

Staff 

With our dedicated professional staff, Sea Horse Stables provides a substantial amount of supervised time throughout the day and evening for your horses, including: 

- Two full-time professional trainer/riders

- Two full-time insured exercise riders

- Stable manager

- Assistant stable manager 

- Head groom

- Two full-time horse care providers 

- One part-time horse care provider

- Working student 

- Junior working student
